Arjun is going strong as a hero. True to his title of action king, the actor has taken a daring step and agreed to play a baddie in filmmaker Mani Ratnam’s next, which has the working title Pookadai.
Arjun’s role in the recent Ajith- starrer Mankatha was indeed a negative one. In Mani’s film, he has a powerful negative role with an all-new, surprising look.
According to an insider, there are only five major characters in the film. The movie stars Gautham, son of veteran actor Karthik as the male lead, while his female co-star hasn’t been finalised yet.
Rajeev Menon will be behind the camera with Oscar-winning composer A R Rahman scoring the music. The movie is expected to be a romantic story set against the backdrop of Rameswaram fishermen.
